Violet had a Pickle from Hogwart's for Lunch!

Hello my dear readers, whoever you might be! I had an absolutely wonderful episode today while at work, slaving away under the hot sun... O.k. nix out the "hot sun" part, but slaving away none the less, I was, when What Did I Spy With My Little Eye(!) but a half eaten pickle sitting very abandoned on the counter. I laughed to myself and gazed about in wonder at the odd coincidence that of all days I should happen to see a pickle, I should but be graced by the near presence of one itself today! So I asked of the two ladies standing by my side, "Where had that pickle come from..." And Violet (the younger and prettier of the two, if I may say so..) turned with widened eyes to look at my eager face cautiously and venture to say in Question's good form, "My lunch....?...." I squealed (yes, embarrassingly enough) in excitement and asked if I could have the privilege of taking a picture of her humble, yet, coincidental lunch so that I might share the coincidence with my dear lovely blog this fine day. She graciously took a picture of it and texted it to me with this lovely header,

"Mmmm made by house elves in the Hogwarts kitchen."
Ah, to be a joyous nerd. *smile* I asked if she had always liked pickles and she said, no, that she really liked to enjoy them at the movies as well as nachos and popcorn. I confessed that I have the horrible talent of being able to consume an entire bucket of popcorn myself and she, kind and gracious heart that she is, told me that is not horrible, that is perfectly normal.=) Did you hear that readers? I am perfectly normal for being able to consume an entire bucket of popcorn all on my lonesome in one sitting! AAAahhhh.... I believe her lunch was a leftover from her midnight viewing of the last installment of the Harry Potter films. I never was a big fan of the films, as I am of the books. But it is still sad to me in a way, that something that has evolved and grown up with me, has come to its end. My generation will know what I am talking about. And by the time my children are grown, if I try to express to them or compare it to the equivalent for their generation, they will not be able to grasp the weight of it. It was sad, Violet said towards the end of the movie, girls were already "Crying(!)" and when the lights came up, everyone got up and left, not with excited voices, nor the hope for anymore of what gave them something to look forward to, but with a somber expression and a quiet voice. It is the end, my dear readers. And it is one of those defining moments that should I happen to see a half eaten pickle in the years to come, I will remember Violet's lunch and the nostalgia we already felt for the end of something wonderful.
